S.E.N. Youth Club

The S.E.N. Youth Club is for children 12+, it runs on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month. It features age and ability-appropriate opportunities for independence, away from parents and siblings – if this is safely practicable and possible (we have a quiet area for parents and tea/coffee available in our Tuck-Shop!). The Youth Club aims to safely expose children to real-world social opportunities and situations in a controlled environment.

Entrance Fee

One such experience is having to pay an entrance fee!. Don’t worry, though, as this fee will only be £1 (per child – Adults/Carers free) . The child will have the opportunity to pay this entrance fee themselves.

We will use this to subsidise our “Tuck-Shop” so that the treats are available at an accessible price.

If you are leaving your child, please ensure you leave your contact details on the sign-in sheet on the front desk.

Tuck Shop

Our Tuck-Shop allows the children to purchase their own drinks and snacks. We sell chocolates, crisps, teas, and coffees with water & squash are free of charge. Prices are accessible, but unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that we can control or limit visits to the Tuck Shop. We do however, operate a “tuck-shop-considerations” policy, whereby you as a parent or carer can let us know that fizzy drinks or similar are not allowed and we can then guide the young person to a more suitable purchase.

Content

Various activities go-on throughout the evening – these are often child led, rounded off with bingo at the end of the session has now become a firm favourite.

Themed Nights

We hope to bring occasionally themed evenings to these sessions, supper evenings, film nights, discos etc. We are very open to ideas and suggestions!
